We spend the workdays amid the barrage of the emails, meeting, project reports etc. While you just wolf down the lunch sitting in front of the screen it is time we take steps to being a Zen at work. Otherwise we are leading towards an epidemic of mindlessness which ruining the ability of people’s thinking. Slow down and doing less is actually more productive. Today we rush around so much, often handling many things at the same time. We need to be mindfulness which is connecting with one thing at that time instead of doing six or many things at same time. Being mindful is important which involve giving full attention to task at hand before you move to another thing. It is being connected with reality and not be distracted with our thoughts. Know Your Limit:
Main reason behind people getting stressed out at work is that try to be all things for all the people. it is better to know yourself first and remind yourself who you are and what you want to be. Knowing about ourselves is also knowing what we are not.
Each Day Is A New Day:
You must treat each day as new day. When you wake up in morning it is optimum state you must try and hold on throughout day. When we wake up in morning we have moment of peace which is too short, but its moment of being savor and enjoy it.
Another thing related to work is treat colleagues as if meeting them first time and have no preconceive ideas as he can be difficult to work or cause problem but take it as opportunity to work effectively with team and colleagues.
Think What You Are Doing:
Don’t mistake busyness with productivity. It is crucial to focus on task which includes eating lunch or typing email. You must give full attention.
Take Your Time:
Take time to pause between activities to switch mental gears and make thing productive in better way for long run. Stress will make you perceive things in shallow way.
Do Something For Other Persons:
Listening to other person ideas is important as well. do things for other and you will feel better.
Know Reasons For Things You Are Doing:
Its easy getting struck in likes, dislikes, stress, anxiety and making things hard in workplace but if you challenge your own believes and understand the perspective by being reasonable and reactive.
